Storytime Yoga (ages 2-8)
A great starter class for toddlers and pre-schoolers. This 45-minute class makes "Reading Come Alive with Yoga" and encourages healthy and literate children, families and communities. Offered the first and third Saturdays of each month, or as a 6-week Wednesday session, we will read a fun and kid-friendly book while integrating movement, poses, and songs. A perfect class for siblings.
Wee YogaKids: Yoga for You and Me! (20mos-4 years)
In this interactive class, grown-ups are required to release their inner child and ignite their imagination as we become cats, cows, dogs, frogs and lions all in one class! Kids are natural yogis; come experience our playful approach to yoga. We will have fun, giggle and learn by taking the shape of plants and animals, and through storytelling, songs and yoga games. This active class helps develop better body awareness, self-control, flexibility, and coordination. A great opportunity for adult and child to come together in a fun and healthy way! 45minute class
YogaKids Pre-School (ages 3-5)
Come play yoga! In this fun and active class students will explore movement, breathing and relaxation through literature, music, art, games and more! We will build self-awareness, balance and concentration through imaginative play. Students will take the shape of plants and animals as we take imaginary trips to faraway lands. Grown-ups are encouraged to join us for the last 10 minutes of yoga and relaxation. 45minute class
YogaKids Grades K-4 (ages 5-10) and 4-6 (ages 10-13)
In these fun and active classes students will explore traditional yoga poses, breathing techniques and relaxation through literature, music, creative art and more! We will build strength, self-awareness, balance and concentration through imaginative play. Students will take the shape of plants and animals and travel to far away lands as we explore such topics as compassion, empathy, inner strength, and peace.
YogaKids for Homeschool Students K-5
Same as classes above, but scheduled during the school day and customized (themes, lesson topics) for the students attending.
YogaKids Teen (ages 13-18)
Classes are designed with the pre-teen and teen in mind. Students will learn yoga sequences and breathing/meditation techniques that will help them to find calmness, balance, focus, de-stress and re-energize. We will spend time celebrating our unique selves through affirmations and visualizations. Classes may include creative art activities such as coloring mandalas or creating a set of affirmation cards. All classes will have a theme such as compassion, empathy, kindness, respect and inner strength.
Family Yoga
Children ages 3+ and parents (grandparents, aunt/uncles, caregivers…) come together for fun and laughter in a family yoga practice. Experience yoga playfully through cooperative games, music and literature. Learn partner poses, breathing and relaxation techniques, and enhance concentration. This is a great opportunity for the child and parent to come together in a healthy and creative way!
Yoga In Schools
Yoga is an excellent classroom management tool that can bring "less stress and more success" to students and teachers, fill an extra class period, or serve as an alternative to traditional P.E. Private Yoga Sessions
Tailored to fit your childs needs, we offer 30 to 60 minute private sessions in your home or our studio. Areas of focus may include concentration, balance, spacial awareness, self-control. We can also customize activities for the whole family to get involved in!
